Horry County Council on Aging, Inc. is a private 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation founded in 1975 to provide senior care services throughout Horry County. The Area Agency on Aging identifies the needs of seniors and disabled persons and existing services available. The Area Agency on Aging prepares a plan to meet these needs of the senior population. Whereas the ADRC will link the disabled person to the local resources available. The AAA and ADRC staff work with federal, state, and local officials, service providers, volunteers, and the private sector to encourage new services. Lowcountry AAA/ ADRC staff members are dedicated to improving the lives of the senior and disabled populations. Our staff is available to speak to community groups about the programs available.

Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home is managed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and operated by HMR Governmental Services on behalf of the State.Admission to the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home is limited to Veterans who have been separated from the U.S. Armed Forces under honorable conditions and qualify as South Carolina residents who are in need of skilled or intermediate nursing home care. Eligible Veterans must have served on active duty.

Visiting Angels provides non-medical assisted living homecare services

Waccamaw Area Agency on Aging (AAA), exists to provide services and resources to seniors and their caregivers in the Waccamaw Region. The AAA offers the support many senior residents need to continue living comfortable, high-quality lives in their own homes for as long as possible.

The Breathe Easier Club is a monthly group for patients diagnosed with lung cancer, long-term survivors, and family members or friends. Join us for a delicious free lunch or dinner for conversation and information.

We provide companionship to our aging population and support workforce caregivers who care for our aging population. The organization aims to help older adults to live socially engaged lives that reduces negative outcomes such as loneliness, isolation and depression. These goals are achieved by providing social engagement, volunteer opportunities and intergenerational programming for all seniors. 

Upper Savannah Area Agency on Aging (AAA) provides and finds services designed to assist seniors in leading independent, meaningful and dignified lives in their own homes and communities as long as possible.

Caring Oasis HomeCare is a local HomeCare provider with a dedicated staff and owner who enjoys being personally involved in caring for their clients. They are assist with many activities of daily living and will ensure that your loved one's needs are looked after. 

By providing meals, transportation, and social interaction to older adults, Aiken Senior Life Services – a private, charitable nonprofit organization established in 1971 – allows Aiken County seniors to gracefully age in place. 

Aiken Senior Life Services, in partnership with Meals on Wheels America, provides a hot, nutritious meal to any senior who is unable to leave their home or who has difficulty preparing a meal. These meals are delivered by volunteers that provide important social interaction to homebound seniors. These visits, which serve as important “wellness checks,” often turn into lasting friendships. Low-cost and no-cost services are available.

Pickens County Meals on Wheels (PCMOW) exists to combat the effects of hunger, loneliness and isolation on senior citizens living in Pickens County, and to provide a lifeline through the use of caring volunteers. Our vision is to provide a continuum of care for active, aging and homebound individuals by providing daily meals, social, cultural and educational activities and connecting individuals and their families to the services to ensure they are a valued member of our community. Pickens County Meals on Wheels serves hot, weekday meals to over 360 homebound clients in Pickens County daily. The program also includes Young at Heart, a place for older adults to participate in activities, social connection, and dine for lunch. No cost and low cost services are available.

Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission's Aging Program is a special purpose district whose mission is to improve the quality of life of older adults throughout Lexington County through creative, meaningful, life enriching experiences. This is done through the provision of program services, facilities, and education. Some programs and services may depend on available funds, an individual's severity of need, and the geographic location of the individual. Low and no-cost services are available. 

Santee-Lynches Area Agency on Aging, serve as a forum of governments, advocating a regional vision through identification of opportunities, effective courses of action, and appropriate resources essential to enable local governments to enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter Counties.

St. Cyprian Outreach Center provides utility and Rental Assistance, and food pantry.

The Montgomery Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic provides evaluation and treatment services for all ages. Focus areas include articulation, language, voice, hearing, stuttering, and everyday communication, among others. Individual and/or group programs may be recommended. Innovative services that align with research and best practices are conducted by graduate students under the direction of certified and licensed speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Individuals receiving services at the Center may be invited to participate in research during their treatment. 
 

Our purpose is to provide individuals with communication disorders with the highest quality and most effective evaluation and treatment in order to improve social, educational, and vocational participation.
