Griswold Home Care is a community-based service in Myrtle Beach that provides an affordable solution for individuals or couples who require non-medical assistance in order to remain safely in their homes. The service includes personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, along with transportation and errands if needed. Our services can be arranged for as few as 2 hours a week, or as many as 24 hours a day. Care is available seven days a week, including holidays.

Senior Living Advisors is a FREE service to help families choose an appropriate Independent Living Apartment with Support Services, Assisted Living Facility or Secure Dementia unit for their loved one. While matching their medical needs, budget, and geographic preferences.

Your Professional Senior Living Advisor can assess the candidate in their home or at a medical facility such as hospital or skilled rehabilitation unit.  The Advisor will meet with the family to obtain all of the necessary information, and determine the scope of care required. Recommendations of communities are offered, and your Professional Advisor will accompany you on tours to provide expert guidance every step of the way.

Most importantly, your Professional Advisor understands how difficult it is to make these decisions, and is there to offer expert guidance and support to help families make this life-changing transition.

Placement Assistance - Whether you are thinking about assisted living, dementia care, independent senior living or skilled nursing, we can help you identify the right level of care and find the best community that fits the needs of your loved one.  It's about what matters most to you and your family, current and future care, personal preferences, location and budget.  We arrange the visits at your chosen communities, personally accompany you on tours, and coach you to ask the right questions.  We track the communities compliance with state regulations.

Shem Creek Health Center offers the full continuum of care beginning with private accommodations in its 24 Memory Support and 54 Assisted Living apartments. Couples have the ability to reside together enjoying South Bay’s luxury retirement lifestyle in Assisted Living whether one or both members have the need for 24-hour assistance.

Shem Creek Nursing and Rehab completes the continuum with 40 Skilled Nursing and Short-term Rehabilitation apartments, offering both studios and one-bedroom suites. Residents requiring the care of a licensed nurse 24 hours daily will also enjoy South Bay’s luxury community setting.

Short-term Rehabilitation patients will appreciate the state of the art Rehab gym staffed by our in-house Occupational, Physical and Speech therapists who will work with our interdisciplinary team to get patients back to their previous lifestyle quickly.  Finally, the campus also boasts a clinic on-site staffed by MUSC Health Geriatrics. Residents in all levels of the continuum have opportunity to be seen on campus by MUSC staff who can also facilitate quick referrals to specialty services if indicated.
