    HopeHealth provides integrated health services for more than 37,000 patients in areas surrounding Aiken, Clarendon, Florence, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg counties. It was founded in 1991 as a grassroots HIV/AIDS support organization, and was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center in 2007 to expand its services to include primary and pediatric care.     HopeHealth in Aiken is 1 of 3 Infectious Disease Treatment and Prevention Centers, and is committed to providing infectious disease services to Aiken, Allendale, and Barnwell Counties. The site opened its doors in 2005, providing case management services to individuals living with HIV. The site has since expanded its services to include community education, STI prevention, and Personal Health Clinic. Personal Health Clinic appointments are available to accommodate walk-in STI screenings, Hepatitis C care, PrEP, PEP, and traditional women’s health services such as PAP smears.

    Clinical services consist of medical care and treatment related specifically to a patient’s diagnosis. The clinical staff team includes a medical office assistant, a nurse and a provider. The team meets with patients at least quarterly to assign and review patients’ medications, labs and coordinate any referrals for specialty care services.

    Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health

    We are an inpatient crisis stabilization unit for patients 65 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis or dementia related behavioral crisis and who are acute enough to warrant hospitalization.  We are a secured unit with 20 beds located inside KershawHealth Medical Center in Camden, SC.  Our Medical Director is Geriatric Psychiatrist, Kevin Nasky, DO and our staff consists of Dr. Nasky, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, social workers, activities therapist, RNs, LPNs and CNAs and a community education coordinator.  Our average length of stay is 10-12 days.  We accept all insurances at this time.
