Founded in 1982, Golden Harvest Food Bank works to create a safety net of food distribution partners, programs, and direct services to meet the needs of our neighbors who struggle with hunger. FoodShare South Carolina's mission is to increase access to, knowledge of and consumption of vegetables and fruit through community-led projects.
Our Fresh Food Box is available at a cost which allows anyone to buy a box. Each box contains fresh produce and unique recipes, tips and nutrition notes. Fresh Food Boxes are filled with 9 to 11 varieties of fresh fruits and vegetables. With the contents changing weekly, it’s an affordable and exciting way to eat healthy food. Bulk buying at wholesale prices makes our boxes more affordable than buying produce at retail stores.
Our NeighborShare program is a community initiative that aims to ensure access to fresh, affordable food. The program serves individuals who need assistance ordering their Fresh Food Boxes or having boxes delivered to them by volunteers.

Eligibility criteria for a class is a positive screen for food insecurity and diagnosis of chronic, diet-related illness. While in class, participants receive fresh grocery deliveries to their home or via our mobile market. A physicians referral and recent lab work is required for participation.

HopeHealth in Aiken is 1 of 3 Infectious Disease Treatment and Prevention Centers, and is committed to providing infectious disease services to Aiken, Allendale, and Barnwell Counties. The site opened its doors in 2005, providing case management services to individuals living with HIV. The site has since expanded its services to include community education, STI prevention, and Personal Health Clinic. Personal Health Clinic appointments are available to accommodate walk-in STI screenings, Hepatitis C care, PrEP, PEP, and traditional women’s health services such as PAP smears.
Clinical services consist of medical care and treatment related specifically to a patient’s diagnosis. The clinical staff team includes a medical office assistant, a nurse and a provider. The team meets with patients at least quarterly to assign and review patients’ medications, labs and coordinate any referrals for specialty care services.
