Event Details

Respite Care of Charleston is pleased to offer a community education event for anyone caring for or supporting a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or another type of dementia. The daily physical care of a person living with dementia can be one of the most demanding aspects of the caregiving journey.

This hands-on session addresses some of the most common and most difficult day-to-day challenges caregivers face, including toileting, bathing, managing wandering behavior, and supporting mobility and safety at home. Led by a dementia care specialist, you will learn practical strategies, communication techniques, and adaptive approaches that can make these routines safer and less stressful for both you and your loved one.

This event is free and open to the public, but we request that attendees register so we can plan accordingly.
