    Senior Center

    Senior Action is a nonprofit organization serving adults aged 55 and older in Greenville County. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including meals, exercise classes, social activities, fine arts classes, and more at our six locations. We also provide home-based services such as transportation to our centers, medical transportation, and yard care assistance.  Centers include:

    Main Location: 3715 E North St, Greenville: Hours M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm

    Berea: 6 Hunts Bridge Rd, Greenville; Hours M-F, 9:00am - 3:00pm

    Greer: Needmore Community Center, 203 Canteen Ave., Greer; Hours M-F, 9:00am - 1:00pm

    Mt. Pleasant Community Center: 710 S. Fairfield Rd., Greenville; Hours Mon, Tue, Wed, 9:00am - 1:00pm

    Pleasant Valley Connection,  510 Old August Rd, Greenville; Hours MWF, 9:00am - 1:00pm

    Sterling: 113 Minus St., Greenville; Hours M-F, 9:00am - 1:00pm

    Intake Procedure

    Senior Action has 6 locations where a meal is served daily and various activities are offered.  The meal is offered at no cost to the senior (over 60) if they complete an annual assessment or for the low cost of $8.  In addition, Senior Action's Berea location offers expanded programming and extended hours.  There is a $100/year membership fee for just the Berea location.  Senior Action's main location on E North St offers a wider array of programs and services including a full fitness center, a fine arts center, and an event center where a variety of program are offered each day.  Senior Action's full membership includes the membership at Berea and is $200 annually (can be paid monthly).  Senior Action's main location accepts SilverSneakers, Silver and Fit, and Renew Active Members.

    Medical Appointments Transportation

    Senior Action provides a service to assist with transportation to medical appointments. Participants must be 60 and over, live in Greenville County, and complete an assessment by the Appalachian Council of Governments.  Once approved, clients may chose from a list of providers and call and schedule appointments as needed.

    Meals

    Senior Action serves lunch at six locations throughout Greenville County.  Lunch is $8 or if the senior is over 60, lives in Greenville County, and completes an annual assessment, may have lunch at no cost to them (donations accepted).

    Lunch is served daily from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Hours vary by location.

    Yard Maintenance

    Senior Action offers a no-cost program that assists seniors in care and maintenance of their yard.  The service is a basic service that offers mowing, weeding/edging, and once a season, bushes trimmed and leaves collected. Senior must be over 60, live in Greenville County, and complete an annual assessment of need.
