The City of Aiken Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, in conjunction with the Senior Commission, will host a free event, Plan Today, Protect Tomorrow: Know Your Legal Rights as You Age, on Thursday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lessie B. Price Senior & Youth Center, 841 Edgefield Avenue NW. The mission of the Senior Commission is to facilitate educational programming to advance the well-being of seniors (age 50 and above) in Aiken.
This free educational program is designed to empower older adults with knowledge, confidence, and practical tools to plan ahead. The event will feature a panel discussion with trusted local experts representing the fields of law, assisted living, long-term care, and funeral services. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with these community partners and learn about the valuable resources, services, and information they provide. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a raffle featuring the following prizes: two portable AC units and $25 gift cards.
