    Respite Care - Out-of-Home

    Everyone needs a break at times. MDADC offers a respite program that provides this opportunity to the caregiver and the loved one.  MDADC's program focuses on cognitive health and socialization.  A day in the life at the center includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and a pm snack. The morning starts with coffee talk (a moment to meet and greet), devotion, and cognitive activities to stimulate the brain. After lunch, there is a relaxation or meditation time before moving on to arts and crafts. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, physical exercises are implemented in the day with a Physical Therapist coming in on Fridays to assist. Every month we complete an Armchair Travel and visit different countries.  These experiences include a trip to our local library to learn much more about the country.  MDADC also has a book club in which we read a portion of a book weekly.

    8-4:30 pm Monday- Friday with the exception of holidays.

    Hours of Operation

    Pick-up time ranges between 7 am and 8:45 am. The buses are loaded at 3:30 and dropoff time is between 3:45-5:00 pm.
