    Equipment Loans

    The South Carolina Assistive Technology Program (SCATP) offers a device loan and demonstration program, an on-site and on-line equipment exchange program, training, technical assistance, publications, an information listserv and work with various state committees that affect AT acquisition. We link people with technology and work with consumers, service providers, state agencies and policy makers.

    Medical Equipment/Personal Care Supplies

    Through the SCATP Equipment Reuse Service, the SC Assistive Technology program collects donations of gently used medical equipment. These donations are sanitize and then given to to individuals who need them. 

    Donated Equipment can Include: 

    • Tub benches 
    • walkers 
    • Manual and power wheelchairs 
    • Rollators 
    • Bedside commodes 
    • Canes 
    • Standers 
    • CCTVs 
    • Magnifiers

Description of Organization

The South Carolina Assistive Technology Program (SCATP) is a federally funded program concerned with getting technology into the hands of people with disabilities so that they might live, work, learn and be a more independent part of the community. Our goal is to enhance independence, productivity and quality of life for all South Carolinians through access to assistive technology devices and services.
