CarePatrol helps seniors and their families in the Upstate find and transition into Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care free of charge.

We Care for Elders and More provides assistance to individuals who need help with daily activities while remaining in their own homes. Services can include personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming). Our services are commonly used by seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or surgery.  

Caregivers of the Upstate specializes in care and daily living assistance to an array of individuals. Whether you need daily or weekly assistance due to aging, illness, recovery, or rehabilitation, our care givers will provide an individualized service that you can trust. 

We provide background screenings and drug testing for all caregivers prior to placement. Our supervisory nurses assess and work with each client to create the proper care plan and routinely visit to address any plan changes. We provide workers compensation and liability insurance coverages for all caregivers.

Free program for drivers where they remain in their vehicles & trained technicians go through 12 safety checks to make sure they fit in their vehicles & are safe to drive.

We check all lights, mirror adjustments, seat belts, head restraints, seat location as far as seeing over the dash & ability to reach petals. A trained Occupational Therapist will be there most of the time to help anyone that has problems getting in or out of their vehicles, etc.

The Carrick Consulting team can help gather, analyze and organize assets; explain the client's personal financial statements and budget requirements, including a Medicare plan review, if applicable; establish a budget; manage incoming mail; set up automated bill payments; provide a monthly report on income and expenditures; handle tax preparation; and research billing disputes.

Carrick Consulting can also act as Trustee, Durable Power of Attorney or Conservator where clients cannot handle the financial tasks for themselves.

We provide safe, reliable transportation for wheelchair and ambulatory patients to dialysis appointments, medical appointments, hospital discharges, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and outpatient procedures. Our trained medical transportation professionals ensure comfort, punctuality, and compassionate care. 

Dementia Dialogues® is a nationally registered and evidence-informed, intervention program. This 5-module training course is designed to educate community members and caregivers (formal or informal) for persons who exhibit signs and symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). The modules cover valuable information and recommendations including an overview of dementia, strategies for effective communication, understanding the environment and ways to promote independence, addressing challenging behaviors, and creative problem solving. Dementia Dialogues® is offered nationwide by Certified Instructors in-person and virtually, and as a virtual self-guided training at no cost to participants. Dementia Dialogues® is provided through Office of the Study of Aging at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina.

The Department of Social Services provides protective services for children and vulnerable adults, adoption, and foster care services. It administers federal Title IV-B Child Welfare Services and Title IV-E Foster Care and Adoption Assistance programs. 

Additionally, a commodities program distributes supplemental food through a network of food banks. Other food programs provide financial assistance for child and adult care providers, homeless shelters, and summer feeding sites for children.

Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities Inc. (P&A) is a statewide non-profit working to protect and advance the rights of people with disabilities. P&A provides information and referrals, training, abuse and neglect investigation, legal representation, and advocacy for policy change.

Diversified Training Consultants Group provides senior care management and dementia care planning while helping families navigate long term care.

The Elder Abuse Training and Treatment Program offers free elder abuse training to organizations who work with the elderly as well as providing free telehealth therapy for South Carolinians 55 and up struggling with the effects of trauma. All services are free of charge and are available through telehealth. We are located at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing.
