Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly designed to provide a variety of services to the frail elderly. By providing all medical care and supportive services, the program is able to offer care and services to seniors with chronic care needs, while encouraging independence at home for as long as possible.

Our Helping Hands is a patient advocacy organization that services seniors of Charleston South Carolina. We are dedicated to assisting you in becoming an active participant in your own health care and empower you to ask the right questions of your providers. Advocates translate medical terminology so that you can better understand your physician's explanations and instructions so you are more likely to have positive health outcomes.

Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health

We are an inpatient crisis stabilization unit for patients 65 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis or dementia related behavioral crisis and who are acute enough to warrant hospitalization.  We are a secured unit with 20 beds located inside KershawHealth Medical Center in Camden, SC.  Our Medical Director is Geriatric Psychiatrist, Kevin Nasky, DO and our staff consists of Dr. Nasky, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, social workers, activities therapist, RNs, LPNs and CNAs and a community education coordinator.  Our average length of stay is 10-12 days.  We accept all insurances at this time.

The Memory Health Program offers a comprehensive evaluation which includes medical, cognitive, social and physical evaluations to diagnose memory conditions and develop a plan of care for patients and their family members or care partners.

ACTS- partner with churches, organizations, and individuals to provide assistance to our neighbors in need.

Established in 1914 as a private charitable trust, The Crane Fund grants aid to qualifying former employees of Crane Company who are experiencing financial insecurity and are unable to be self-supporting because of age or physical disability. 

Non medical home care agency

Brook Health Care, LLC has been providing non medical personal assistance for individuals of the SC Midlands since 2007. We can assist with basic everyday needs such as bathing, dressing, meal prep, shopping, light housekeeping, etc. We can even walk the dog.

Margaret Kunes, MHA, CMC is an Aging Life Care Manager who operates a small practice offering highly personalized decision support for individuals and families faced with managing chronic illness, particularly cognitive impairment, or more general matters related to aging and planning for the future.

ALCC also offers assistance with exploring retirement community options, medication management, home care management, coordinating and attending medical and other business appointments.
 

Scutta Advocacy provides care management for seniors and individuals with disabilities. We are independent, knowledgeable, objective, and reliable. 

We provide general advocacy, medical advocacy, financial advocacy, environmental advocacy, and emotional well being advocacy. 

Caring Legacy In-Home Care provides compassionate, personalized care to individuals in the comfort of their own homes. Our trained caregivers assist with daily activities, personal care, and medical support, promoting independence and well-being.

Piedmont Agency on Aging provides free home-delivered meals to seniors 60 and older in Greenwood, Abbeville, Laurens and Saluda Counties. Other services provided are senior center meals and transportation to the centers and medical appointments. Low and no cost services are available. 

Senior Action is a nonprofit organization serving adults aged 55 and older in Greenville County. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including meals, exercise classes, social activities, and more at our six locations. We also provide home-based services such as transportation to our centers, medical transportation, and yard care assistance. Volunteer opportunities available. 

Prisma Health SeniorCare - PACE provides All-inclusive Care for the Elderly living in Richland and Lexington counties.  A program for people over the age of 55 living with a disability.  The goal of the program is to keep people in the community for as long as safely possible.  The program is centered on the belief that the best outcomes happen when seniors are served in their own communities.  To meet this goal, Prisma Health SeniorCare - PACE focuses on both chronic care needs and preventive care with a medical and holistic approach. 

Senior Express Transportation Services provides a personal driving service for any age (although our focus is older adults) on a regular or on an as-needed basis such as; medical / dental appointments, out-patient surgeries, dialysis treatments, grocery / shopping trips, errands, church functions, airport pick-ups/drop-offs and any other transportation needs. Senior Express has been providing transportation services throughout the midlands area since 2009.

The South Carolina Assistive Technology Program (SCATP) is a federally funded program concerned with getting technology into the hands of people with disabilities so that they might live, work, learn and be a more independent part of the community. Our goal is to enhance independence, productivity and quality of life for all South Carolinians through access to assistive technology devices and services.

Visiting Angels provides non medical home care personnel and companion services that allow people to maintain the independence of their daily routines and familiar surrounding in the privacy of their own homes

Scutta Advocacy Group provides professional advocacy and concierge life care management for seniors and those challenged by illness or disability. With wisdom, integrity, and compassion, we consider the complete lives of our clients, including medical advocacy, environmental, financial advocacy, and emotional well-being. 

Our Nurse Advocates (RN) and Physician Assistant Advocates are teamed with Certified Senior Advisors and others to gracefully provide these services. 

A welcoming facility for all adults, including employees to visit. Focused on providing In-Home Care, Day Center Care and Transportation needs for Seniors, Young Adults or the Disabled. Providers are First Aid, CPR and CNA certified and are required to complete Caregiver Training Courses including Alzheimer's and dementia care training. Whether it is Medicaid, VA medical benefit, private pay, waiver or a voucher, we are often able to provide the care you require for little or no money out of pocket. 

Senior Resources is a non-profit organization that coordinates services, provides resources and encourages the personal choices that allow Midland's area senior citizens to remain independent. Services include meal opportunities (home-delivered meals and group dining meals) and wellness centers (senior centers). Volunteer opportunities are available each weekday for Meals on Wheels.  Low and no-cost services are available. 

Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina, Inc. (N2N), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, promotes independence, relieves isolation, and connects homebound adults to their community through transportation.  Utilizing volunteer drivers, N2N coordinates transportation to medical related appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, therapy appointments, and many other quality of life destinations.  

N2N is always looking for passionate volunteers in Horry and Georgetown County.  If you or anyone you know is interested, please share N2N with them.
