Caris Healthcare is providing hospice with grace celebrating 20 years in 2023. Our Charleston, SC office located in West Ashley opened in 2013 and has a fresh, well-trained, and caring team. 

A simple, affordable and efficient solution to finding local transportation for people of all ages.  Book rides at the call center toll free, using a desktop or laptop computer, or via the Feonix App on a smartphone.  A one-stop-shop for:

1) Finding available transportation options   2) Scheduling and booking using a preferred mode of transportation   3) paying in advance

Open to people of all ages with a focus on those 50 years and over, and other vulnerable individuals.  

Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health

We are an inpatient crisis stabilization unit for patients 65 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis or dementia related behavioral crisis and who are acute enough to warrant hospitalization.  We are a secured unit with 20 beds located inside KershawHealth Medical Center in Camden, SC.  Our Medical Director is Geriatric Psychiatrist, Kevin Nasky, DO and our staff consists of Dr. Nasky, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, social workers, activities therapist, RNs, LPNs and CNAs and a community education coordinator.  Our average length of stay is 10-12 days.  We accept all insurances at this time.

Next Day Access serves Charleston and all of South Carolina with quality care to create life changing opportunities that allow users to remain at home. Our goal is to help you and your loved ones stay in your home longer and safer by providing wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, vehicle lifts, grab bars, handrails, and more. We are designed to help seniors, the injured, and the disabled to maintain their independence. Our professional and caring staff is ready to help those in need.

Neighbor to Neighbor of South Carolina, Inc. (N2N), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, promotes independence, relieves isolation, and connects homebound adults to their community through transportation.  Utilizing volunteer drivers, N2N coordinates transportation to medical related appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, therapy appointments, and many other quality of life destinations.  

N2N is always looking for passionate volunteers in Horry and Georgetown County.  If you or anyone you know is interested, please share N2N with them.

  HopeHealth also provides youth immunizations, physicals, and wellness exams in Lake City through its school-based program.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department has forged a strong relationship with Project Lifesaver. This partnership allows us to use Project Lifesaver's technology to quickly track and locate individuals who are prone to wander from their homes.  You may contact Sgt. When you enroll your loved one in the program, you will receive a small personal Project Lifesaver transmitter.   This transmitter is worn on the wrist or ankle and emits an individualized tracking signal. If an enrolled Project Lifesaver client goes missing, the caregiver notifies the Department and deputies respond to the wanderer's area. Most clients who wander are found a few miles from home, and search times are reduced from hours and days to minutes. Recovery times for PLI clients average 30 minutes which is a 95 percent less time than standard operations.

CarePatrol helps seniors and their families in the Pee Dee and Grand Strand areas find and transition into Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care free of charge.

Hospice care offers peace and comfort to patients with life-limiting illness through a family-focused approach. Palliative care is specialized for those with an acute or chronic illness and is focused on symptom management and stress relief. Clarendon County Council on Aging, serves as the aging focal point and resource connection for seniors and adults with disabilities, caregivers, families, and professionals.

Love House Academy's Senior Day Program is designed for retired adults over the age of 60 who are looking for a place to remain healthy in Mind, Body, and Soul.  It is for Lowcountry seniors who seek a reputable local organization to help them enjoy life to its fullest.  Our Senior Day Program is also ideal for seniors who may otherwise be isolated in their home environment.

Love House Academy's Senior Day Program is free and open to the public.  Currently we are only delivering frozen meals to senior's residence for those who qualify.  If you are in need of free meals to be delivered to your residence due to medical, health, or inabilities, please contact us for support.

Beaufort County has a large number of grandparents raising grandkids.  If you or someone you know is in need of affordable after-school and/or summer care, our Learning Academy services for students (children must be at least five years old) may be a good fit.  The Learning Academy focuses on continual educational opportunities when school is out of session and supports academics, attendance, positive behavior, and healthy choices in mind, body, and soul.  Please see our website for details or call for more information.

Co-Pastor Theresa Roberts is an influential icon in her Beaufort County community through her outreach ministries and public involvement.  She attentively mentors and supports seniors, children, teens, young adults, and women.  Her passion for seeing lives changed has resulted in the $1-A-Day After School Program, the Love House Learning Academy, the Summer Learning Academy, and the Senior Day Program.  Theresa is by far a trailblazer when it comes to supporting the community and helping to bridge the gap between vulnerable people and accessible services that improve quality of life.

Senior Action is a non profit organization that provides a wide array of programs and services for seniors in Greenville County.
