Scutta Advocacy Group provides professional advocacy and concierge life care management for seniors and those challenged by illness or disability. With wisdom, integrity, and compassion, we consider the complete lives of our clients, including medical advocacy, environmental, financial advocacy, and emotional well-being. 

Our Nurse Advocates (RN) and Physician Assistant Advocates are teamed with Certified Senior Advisors and others to gracefully provide these services. 

Senior Care Insurance assists patients with their Medicare Insurance plans.

Senior Express Transportation Services provides a personal driving service for any age (although our focus is older adults) on a regular or on an as-needed basis such as; medical / dental appointments, out-patient surgeries, dialysis treatments, grocery / shopping trips, errands, church functions, airport drop-off / pick-ups and any transportation needs. Senior Express has been providing transportation services throughout the midlands area for over ten years.

Senior Matters is a provider of licensed non-medical caregiver services. Locally owned in Columbia, SC since 1997, Senior Matters provides non-medical caregiver services throughout South Carolina.  Senior Matters is proud to serve veterans through the VA Community Care Network.

We are a Move Management Company, specializing in helping older adults and their families manage the often overwhelming process of downsizing and moving.

We are a non-profit ministry that serves the needs of individuals and families who are in crisis. We provide food, clothing, and on a limited basis financial assistance for utilities.

Dr. Sabrina Russ is the owner of the medication consulting company, Simplicity Pharmacy Services and Wellness Center, inc. and has been practicing pharmacy for over 24 years. Simplicity Pharmacy Services and Wellness Center, inc. is comprised of licensed and Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacists who work with Seniors to educate them about their medications. We will do a Medication Risk Assessment which will help to explain if you’re at Risk for Falls and look for opportunities to safely remove or decrease any unnecessary or potentially harmful medications. We will also explain the purpose of your medications, side effects to be aware of, as well as possible drug interactions that can occur. Then we will work closely with your Healthcare Provider to discuss our recommendations.

With their help, you will no longer be confused about your medications or feel over medicated.

Solutions for Living at Home can assist you during respite care, recovery from a surgery or chronic illness, help you with an aging parent, or just provide a helping hand with simple chores and responsibilities. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provide services on a long term or limited basis.

We understand the needs of each client are different. Our highly trained staff will work closely with you, your family, and your healthcare providers to develop and deliver a specialized plan that is just right for your needs and circumstances.

We provide free telephone equipment for individuals with hearing and/or speech impairments.

The mission of the SC Respite Coalition is to expand respite opportunities in South Carolina for families of loved ones with special needs.

The Coalition’s goals are to:

• Educate the public and specific groups about the need for respite care.
• Develop strategies to provide and improve respite services for families.
• Provide support for families and providers through coordinated information resources. 

The SC Respite Coalition is the only entity in the state committed to addressing the needs for respite across the lifespan for all persons caring for a child or adult who has special needs. Lead organizations in the development of the Respite Coalition have been Family Connection of SC, Inc., the Center for Disability Resources at the USC School of Medicine, and the Institute for Families in Society at the University of South Carolina.

SCLS is a statewide law firm providing free legal services to low income citizens of South Carolina.

Real Estate Services for Seniors

The South Carolina Developmental Disabilities Council is a federally funded program that provides leadership in planning, funding, and implementing initiatives that lead to improved quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy, capacity building, and systemic change.

We serve individuals with spinal cord injuries to assist them in finding resources for their needs, questions, and concerns.

Straight Road International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves communities through education and programs in financial and health literacy. Our goal is to help others walk the straight road towards health and financial success. 

We are an activity center for adults 50 years and up. The Lourie Center’s mission is to provide opportunities for older adults to remain physically fit, socially engaged, intellectually stimulated and independent.  The center is a part of Senior Resources, and offers a wide array of programs in exercise, disease-preventions, arts and culture, lifelong learning, and social activities designed to keep older adults active and healthy.  

The Village at Summerville is a faith-based, not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering independent living apartments and patio homes, assisted living, health care and rehabilitation accommodations  on an 84-acre campus in the heart of Summerville.  

The COMET, officially the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA), is a regional transportation authority formed by Richland County, City of Columbia, and Lexington County by the Central Midlands Council of Governments.
 

The COMET provides transit services on 47 fixed routes, five ReFlex services, vanpool service for commuters, subsidy programs with Uber and Lyft and DART for transportation to grocery stores and at night, ADA complementary paratransit service throughout Richland and portions of Lexington Counties and eight Blue Bike bikeshare stations in Downtown Columbia. The COMET transports approximately 2.2 million passenger trips a year on a fleet of more than 90 buses, vans and trolleys. Transit services are provided under contract with RATP Dev USA, Inc., Enterprise Holdings, Lyft, Uber and Bewegen.

The Carolinas Center (TCC) is the association for the hospice and end of life industry throughout North & South Carolina. Since its inception in 1977, TCC has been a powerful advocate and leading voice for the industry. TCC's extensive educational offerings, technical assistance and discipline-specific newsletters are known nationally for their excellence.

The Breathe Easier Club is a monthly group for patients diagnosed with lung cancer, long-term survivors, and family members or friends. Join us for a delicious free lunch or dinner for conversation and information.

The Bradford Group Financial Service Company assists clients with Financial/Legal Counseling.

Established in 1914 as a private charitable trust, The Crane Fund grants aid to qualifying former employees of Crane Company who are experiencing financial insecurity and are unable to be self-supporting because of age or physical disability. 

The Arc of South Carolina promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
