Calhoun County Council on Aging (CCCOA) is a county department that provides programs and services to promote the well-being of aging persons residing in Calhoun County, SC. Our purpose is to help persons over the age of 60 in Calhoun County maintain their independence, function to the best of their ability, and to inform of resources, activities and opportunities available in the community.

The site opened its doors in 2005, providing case management services to individuals living with HIV. The site has since expanded its services to include community education, STI prevention, and Personal Health Clinic. Personal Health Clinic appointments are available to accommodate walk-in STI screenings, Hepatitis C care, PrEP, PEP, and traditional women’s health services such as PAP smears.

Clinical Services

Clinical services consist of medical care and treatment related specifically to a patient’s diagnosis. The clinical staff team includes a medical office assistant, a nurse and a provider. The team meets with patients at least quarterly to assign and review patients’ medications, labs and coordinate any referrals for specialty care services.
