Service Providers

Aiken County Board of Disabilities provides case management to individuals of all ages in the counties listed below. We are a disabilities and special needs board that assists individuals with planning and securing the services the services they need. We serve the counties of Aiken, Barnwell, Edgefield, Greenwood, McCormick, Lexington, Orangeburg, and Saluda using a person-centered philosophy. 

We are a day program for those with Alzheimer's and other related dementias.

The South Carolina Developmental Disabilities Council is a federally funded program that provides leadership in planning, funding, and implementing initiatives that lead to improved quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy, capacity building, and systemic change.

Senior Action is a nonprofit organization serving adults aged 55 and older in Greenville County. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including meals, exercise classes, social activities, and more at our six locations. We also provide home-based services such as transportation to our centers, medical transportation, and yard care assistance. Volunteer opportunities available.

Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired South Carolina (ABVI) provides training and resources that empower individuals of all ages who are blind or visually impaired to lead safe, independent and fulfilling lives. 

Non- Medical Home Care Agency

The COMET, officially the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA), is a regional transportation authority formed by Richland County, City of Columbia, and Lexington County by the Central Midlands Council of Governments.
 The COMET provides transit services on 47 fixed routes, five ReFlex services, vanpool service for commuters, subsidy programs with Uber and Lyft and DART for transportation to grocery stores and at night, ADA complementary paratransit service throughout Richland and portions of Lexington Counties and eight Blue Bike bikeshare stations in Downtown Columbia. The COMET transports approximately 2.2 million passenger trips a year on a fleet of more than 90 buses, vans and trolleys. Transit services are provided under contract with RATP Dev USA, Inc., Enterprise Holdings, Lyft, Uber and Bewegen.

Comfort Keepers provides in home non-medical care.

For over 50 years our mission has remained the same; to ensure that no one in the greater Greer community is hungry, without adequate clothing, or socially isolated. And we fulfill this mission through our Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining programs as well as our food pantry, and clothing closet.  

Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council, Inc., is a private non-profit, non-governmental organization 501© that has been providing services for Edgefield County citizens over the age of 60 since 1972. 

We provide meals, transportation, and a meal site. We are here to promote well  being and to enhance the quality of life for older adults in Edgefield, Johnston, Trenton, and parts of North Augusta. 

With three hospitals and nearly 50 locations, Tidelands Health is the largest health care system serving Georgetown, Horry and Williamsburg counties.

The Bradford Group Financial Service Company assists clients with Financial/Legal Counseling.

Antioch Senior Center is geared to providing Senior Citizens of the community and Richland County to enjoy an environment of learning, developing, adjusting, interacting with each other and meeting friends.

At Legacy Transport Services, we are committed to providing high quality transportation experiences. Our team of highly skilled professionals are readily available to assist and provide an abundance of timely care to our valued clientele. We strive to exceed our clients expectations, the first time we render our services, and with every interaction moving forward.

We gladly accept private pay clients. Our vehicles are ADA compliant and prices are more affordable than other local transport companies that provide similar services. We specialize in transporting individuals that are confined to the use of wheelchairs. Our drivers are fully screened, background checked and thoroughly trained.

The Breathe Easier Club is a monthly group for patients diagnosed with lung cancer, long-term survivors, and family members or friends. Join us for a delicious free lunch or dinner for conversation and information.

Omega Healthcare Services is a Non Medical home care agency licensed by the Sate of South Carolina. We specialize in taking care of all age groups in the comfort of theirs homes; these groups include the  elderly, both young and old adult,and  children with special needs. Our trained caregivers are passionate and enthusiastic about their jobs. We strive to employ the best hands through rigorous interview, background checks and in-house training. We also make sure we match the right caregiver with the right client. We will quickly make a change if there is any need.

We serve individuals with spinal cord injuries to assist them in finding resources for their needs, questions, and concerns.

Agency specializing in services to Hampton County residents age 60 and older.

Sound Solutions Hearing Care is an independent hearing healthcare practice that offers hearing loss services with the the freedom to choose from a wide range of hearing aid manufacturers and brands. In addition to hearing tests they also provide hearing aid repair and hearing protection services. 

Brook Health Care, LLC has been providing non medical personal assistance for individuals of the SC Midlands since 2007. We can assist with basic everyday needs such as bathing, dressing, meal prep, shopping, light housekeeping, etc. We can even walk the dog.

Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly designed to provide a variety of services to the frail elderly. By providing all medical care and supportive services, the program is able to offer care and services to seniors with chronic care needs, while encouraging independence at home for as long as possible.

HopeHealth began providing primary care services at Bethea Retirement Community in June 2017. This partnership allows HopeHealth to provide convenient care to residents, helping patients maintain their independence.

With services open to the general public as well, patients are not required to be a resident of Bethea to receive care at HopeHeath at Bethea. HopeHealth at Bethea is now recognized as a level 2 Age-friendly Health System.
