We serve individuals with spinal cord injuries to assist them in finding resources for their needs, questions, and concerns.

The center is a voluntary health and welfare nonprofit corporation that helps the community and acts as an advocate for the elderly that is funded at many levels. Their services include home meal delivery that provides hot meals to home bound individuals, as well as reliable transportation and a group dinning area for socialization. 

The Spartanburg Council on Aging, or SCOA for short, holds free weekly group meetings throughout the county. Participants have the opportunity to connect with others, enjoy a variety of activities, learn from quest speakers, and share a meal with friends multiple days a week. Participants may also be eligible for additional services upon assessment by the Appalachian Council of Governments.

The Blake at Woodcreek Farms is an Assisted Living and Memory Care community with competitive rates. The Blake at Woodcreek Farms has 66 luxurious Assisted Living suites that utilize an unmatched wellness team consisting of 24 hour nurses and personal assistants. We also have an adjoining wing with 34 suites designed to accommodate persons with memory impairments.

The Blake at Woodcreek Farms does not require a “buy-in” fee, but utilizes a month-to-month rental fee structure starting at $3925. 

Residents residing in our Assisted Living and Memory Care suites, requiring direct assistance with medications and personal care, will receive an initial evaluation by our Director of Wellness.  The development of a service plan is designed to ensure that each resident receives the assistance they require, promoting an active lifestyle.  Personal care fees for Assisted Living are based on the resident’s level of need pursuant to the initial assessment and service plan. The COMET, officially the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA), is a regional transportation authority formed by Richland County, City of Columbia, and Lexington County by the Central Midlands Council of Governments.
 

The COMET provides transit services on 47 fixed routes, five ReFlex services, vanpool service for commuters, subsidy programs with Uber and Lyft and DART for transportation to grocery stores and at night, ADA complementary paratransit service throughout Richland and portions of Lexington Counties and eight Blue Bike bikeshare stations in Downtown Columbia. The COMET transports approximately 2.2 million passenger trips a year on a fleet of more than 90 buses, vans and trolleys. Transit services are provided under contract with RATP Dev USA, Inc., Enterprise Holdings, Lyft, Uber and Bewegen.
