As experienced consultants and planners, we partner with the applicant or a representative in the application process to obtain all documents needed to complete the nursing home application and meet Medicaid program requirements; we then organize the application and promptly submit it to the Medicaid agency, the SC Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) for review and approval. PalmettoMEC's consultants have more than 30 years of Medicaid eligibility, policy, and case–management experience administering long-term care programs.

This partnership allows us to use Project Lifesaver's technology to quickly track and locate individuals who are prone to wander from their homes.  You may contact Sgt. When you enroll your loved one in the program, you will receive a small personal Project Lifesaver transmitter.   This transmitter is worn on the wrist or ankle and emits an individualized tracking signal. If an enrolled Project Lifesaver client goes missing, the caregiver notifies the Department and deputies respond to the wanderer's area. Most clients who wander are found a few miles from home, and search times are reduced from hours and days to minutes. Recovery times for PLI clients average 30 minutes which is a 95 percent less time than standard operations.

Hospice care offers peace and comfort to patients with life-limiting illness through a family-focused approach. Palliative care is specialized for those with an acute or chronic illness and is focused on symptom management and stress relief. Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home is managed by the South Carolina Department of Mental Health and operated by HMR Governmental Services on behalf of the State.Admission to the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home is limited to Veterans who have been separated from the U.S. Armed Forces under honorable conditions and qualify as South Carolina residents who are in need of skilled or intermediate nursing home care. Eligible Veterans must have served on active duty.

Senior Express Transportation Services provides a personal driving service for any age (although our focus is older adults) on a regular or on an as-needed basis such as; medical / dental appointments, out-patient surgeries, dialysis treatments, grocery / shopping trips, errands, church functions, airport pick-ups/drop-offs and any other transportation needs. Senior Express has been providing transportation services throughout the midlands area since 2009.
